GTM Associate – Business Development

Go-To-Market · Remote (EU) · Full-time

Global logistics is the largest machine humanity has ever built, and it runs half-blind. The software steering it sees records, not reality. Staer is building the machine’s spatial intelligence, the layer that lets mobile robot fleets understand and run physical operations. Capture. Index. Understand. It is being built right now, starting in the warehouses where flow is densest, with some of Europe’s leading operators already on it. Where intelligence works, autonomy runs.

This is the first business development hire, a seat that only exists once per company. There is no SDR team, no inbound safety net, and no playbook. You write the one every future commercial hire runs on. It is not a pure strategy role either. Success is measured in qualified pipeline sourced and enterprise deals advanced, not analysis delivered.

We are looking for someone 2–5 years into a career at a top-tier consulting firm, a venture fund, an investment bank, or a breakout startup, who wants to move from advising and analyzing to owning revenue. The commercial motion is 10–15 deep enterprise accounts, not a thousand logos. You inherit a live, founder-sourced account network and make it yours. Map the target universe, build a real thesis per account, open doors that don’t open to cold email, and sit inside real enterprise deals from day one, shoulder to shoulder with the commercial co-founder and the Head of Commercial.

We are a remote-first team across Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, and Greece, built around trust, ownership, and clear communication. AI is woven into our daily work. We use tools like Claude Code to create, analyze, automate, and iterate faster. Being AI-native isn’t a bonus here. It’s part of the craft. In this role that is literal. AI agents do the volume work so you can do the judgment work, and every repetitive task you do twice becomes an agent’s job.

You’ll work directly with founders who have built category-defining technology companies, led public software businesses, and built companies acquired by Apple and Meta. As the company scales, the first account executive seats open, and the person who built the motion is the inside candidate to run part of it, with enterprise deal ownership inside the first year.

The offer is market-competitive compensation, meaningful equity, founder proximity from first touch to signature, an AI-native commercial stack no other company will hand you this early, and a defined path to the first account executive seat or go-to-market leadership as the team grows.

If blank pages, high ownership, and being accountable for revenue energize you rather than stress you, this is your seat.

What the role covers

  • Account origination: own and extend the named-account map; build a thesis per account covering sites, fleet size, systems landscape, and where the wedge is; decide with the founders where the next quarter of commercial energy goes.
  • Opening doors: run research-heavy, multi-threaded outreach into supply chain and intralogistics leadership that reads like it was written by someone who understands the operation, because it was.
  • Enterprise deals: support live deals end to end, from proposals and business cases through procurement and information-security reviews to pilot agreements; whatever it takes to move a pilot toward a production framework.
  • On site: walk warehouses with the field team and turn what the floor shows into deal ammunition and product feedback.
  • AI-native GTM stack: run and extend the CRM, outreach agents, and research automations; every repetitive task you do twice becomes an agent’s job.
  • Hosting the market: operator roundtables, industry events, and executive sessions that put Staer in the room where warehouse-automation decisions are made.
  • Evidence engine: pipeline analytics, win/loss, and the weekly commercial review; turn what the frontline teaches into a playbook the next hire can run.

What it takes

  • 2–5 years in an elite environment: top-tier consulting, a venture fund with sourcing in the job, investment banking, or early go-to-market at a breakout startup, with real exposure to how deals get sourced, evaluated, and driven.
  • Genuine deal appetite. You measure success in revenue, not activity, and you will send the fiftieth email and make the call.
  • Extraordinary with open-ended problems in unstructured environments; you create structure from zero.
  • AI-native in practice, not in claims: you can show something you built.
  • Executive presence: credible in front of a VP Supply Chain and a warehouse site director in the same week.
  • Low ego, high ownership. The outcome matters more than who gets the credit.
  • Curiosity about physical operations: warehouses, forklifts, goods flow. This is not a SaaS-only sale.
  • EU-based with fluent English; Swedish or German is a strong plus. Regular travel to customer sites.
